is MICROBOOST®? ('MBST')
MICROBOOST®
is the registered trademark for a line of chemical free, organic
products, organic waste management programs, and planning services
designed for agriculture, aquiculture, bioremediation, horticulture,
hydroponics and the other green industries.
What
is good compost?
Good compost is made using clean organic feedstocks, no glass, metal
or plastic. These feedstocks are mixed according to a formula, placed
in large piles called windrows and managed until they become compost.
Temperatures reached during the composting process destroy disease
causing pathogens, weed seeds and vector larva. Cured compost will
no longer heat up, even when wet and piled up.
What
is a biostimulant?
Biostimulants are liquids that contain high concentrations of beneficial
microorganisms. These microorganisms actively perform soil restoration.
MBST BIOSTIMULANTS are cultivated to increase the microbial population
in the growth media improving disease resistance and nutrient uptake
while increasing water retention.
What
is MBST Extract?
Microboost Extract is a general purpose biostimulant that contains
a concentration of beneficial typical soil occupying microorganisms.
This active biostimulant is cultivated from pasteurized compost
and incubated to increase and target a broad microbial population.
MBST Extract contains high numbers of mycorrhizal fungi and beneficial
bacteria, along with numerous microbes that fix nitrogen, fight
disease and increase water holding capacity in the growth media.
What
is MBST Biological Larvicide
MBST Biological Larvicide is a biostimulant that is target specific
against mosquito, black fly, fungal gnat larvae and Japanese beetle
grubs. This product is entirely safe for humans, pets, fish and
wildlife. Once ingested MBST Biological Larvicide kills 95-100%
of mosquito larvae within 24 hours and kills continually for 30
days. Japanese beetle grub are controlled in one season.
What
is biochar?
Biochar is charcoal produced through a process called pyrolysis.
Pyrolysis converts biomass into biochar which has 2-4 times the
carbon content of raw biomass and will sequester carbon dioxide
for thousands of years. The physical characteristics of biochar
add significant surface areas for microbial colonization and water
retention.
Will
Microboost Biostimulants Work Without Fertilizer?
When applied as part of a completely chemical free soil restoration
or maintenance program MICROBOOST ® biostimulants will colonize
the soil with numerous nutrient fixing microbes capable of fixing
atmospheric nitrogen which makes up 80% of our atmosphere.
These microbes can fix up to 60% of the atmospheric Nitrogen into
the root mass or root nodes.
