Microboost
(MBST) products and services are based on the results of research
conducted world wide in the fields of soil and plant microbiology.
Through our application of the data collected from this research
we have developed products that will improve the physical and biological
condition of soils and other growth media, increasing disease resistance,
improving nutrient uptake and use.
LMI
currently produces the
following MBST products.
1. MBST Compost and soil mixes
Produced through static pile composting. Yard waste,
green manures and wood chips are mixed to facilitate rapid decomposition,
producing sufficient heat to pasteurize the finished product. MBST
Compost is the primary microbial feedstock for the production of
all MBST Biostimulants and provides solid organic biomass for custom
soils and mixes.
2. MBST Biochar
MBST offers an extremely high carbon biochar produced
by directing a diverse collection of biomass through a pyrolysis
process. MBST Biochar provides stable inert organic matter for custom
soils and mixes.
Removing
carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis
is called carbon sequestration and is a popular way to reduce
green house gasses. This sequestration ends with the decomposition
of the biomass that contained it. The sequestration can be
extended if the biomass is reduced to biochar.
Biochar
(biological charcoal) is produced through a process called
pyrolysis. Pyrolysis converts biomass into biochar which has
2-4 times the carbon content of raw biomass and will sequester
carbon dioxide for thousands of years. The physical characteristics
of biochar add significant surface areas for microbial colonization
and water retention.

MBST Biostimulants are active biostimulants cultivated
from pasteurized compost and incubated to increase and target a
broad microbial population. MBST HD Extracts contain high numbers
of mycorrhizal fungi and beneficial bacteria. Numerous microbes
that fix nitrogen, fight disease and increase water holding capacity
in the growth media. MBST ® Biostimulants improve soil quality
by adding high numbers of beneficial microorganisms that increase
water holding capacity, disease resistance and nutrient fixing capability.
The microbes can fix 60% of the atmospheric nitrogen into the roots
and root nodules, reducing the volume of nutrients and other amendments
needed to maintain lawns and gardens. When combined with increasing
the organic content of the soil by top dressing with MBST treated
compost, the use of chemicals can be eliminated.
- MBST
HD Extract a high density active biostimulant with a
diverse population of microorganisms and micro nutrients cultivated
to support rampant microbial population growth. Designed for professionals
and high volume users.
- MBST
Extract a medium density biostimulant with a diverse
population of microorganisms and micro nutrients cultivated to
support rampant microbial population growth. Designed for home
and low volume users. MBST Extract applied frequently in low dosages
(2oz/g, weekly) produces excellent results.
- MBST
Biological Larvicide contains Bt-I and Bacillus Popilliae
(Milky Spore). This biostimulant has enhanced microbial populations
of target specific microbes.
Kills mosquito, black fly, Japanese beetle and fungus gnat larvae
before they become adults. This product is entirely safe for humans,
pets and fish.

Bioslurry (biochar mixed with biostimulants) have
been used in remediation projects reducing contaminants by 45%
in as few as 30 days.

How
do MICROBOOST "MBST" products work?
MICROBOOST products
are designed to increase the microbial population and diversity
in the soil and on the surface of plants in the garden, field or
green house. Two of the prominent types of microbes cultivated are
fungi and bacteria. These microbes perform important functions.
The fungi create a growing hyphae extending from plant roots, which
continually increases the area from which the plant microbes can
extract essential nutrients, the hyphae loosens soils and increases
water holing capacity. The bacteria metabolize nutrients fixing
nitrogen and delivering it to the plants.

extract contains a concentration of microorganisms that work to
make your soil rich.
Biological
larvicide from MBST
Biological
larvicide for mosquitoes, black fly, fungal gnat larvae and Japanese
beetle grubs. One quart will treat one acre of turf or pond or 10,000
square feet of underbrush garden or landscape. Density of the underbrush
requires more product for coverage. This product is entirely safe
for humans, pets, fish and wildlife.
Once
ingested MBST biological larvacide kills 95-100 per cent of mosquito
larvae within 24 hours. Kills continually for 30 days. grub control
in one season.
KILLS
PESTS BEFORE THEY BECOME BITING ADULTS!
Use
it once in the early spring for grub control of the Japanese beetle;
Use it once a month to control mosquitoes, black flies and fungal
gnats. This product is very target specific, meaning it will only
affect the afore mentioned pests.
MBST
Larvacide can be safely applied to ponds, ditches, lakes, flower
and vegetable gardens. This is alive and full of active microorganisms.
Don't buy more than you will use in 30 days.
